Modi’s every visit to Uttarakhand brings new gifts for state: CM Dhami

DEHRADUN, Apr 14 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday said that every visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi brings new energy and development to the state.
On the occasion of the Prime Minister’s inauguration of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, built at Rs 11,963 crore, Dhami said this economic corridor is a gift to Uttarakhand and the country.
Dhami said that while the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor is giving new impetus to Uttarakhand’s development journey, it also marks the birth anniversary of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Paying tribute to Baba Saheb, he said that he worked to strengthen social harmony and unity by connecting the underprivileged with the mainstream of society.
Referring to Modi’s affection for the state, the chief minister said that he encouraged the people of the state by declaring the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand.
The prime minister visited the border village of Mana and declared it the first village in the country, and gave the message of ‘Wed in Uttarakhand’ at the inauguration of the Global Investors Summit, he said.
Dhami said that the prime minister gave a new identity to this pilgrimage site on the world stage by visiting Adi-Kailash, recognised Devbhoomi as a sports land by inaugurating the National Games, promoted winter tourism from Harshil Mukhba, and on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee year, gave the state a new vision for the next 25 years.
The chief minister said that the state government, under the guidance of the prime minister, is working to transform Uttarakhand into the country’s premier state, in alignment with the concept of “Development and Heritage.”
Asserting that under the prime minister’s leadership, the nation has achieved unprecedented progress in the past years, Dhami claimed that since 2014, India has scaled new heights in every sector, including infrastructure, the economy, women’s empowerment, and national security.
The chief minister presented the prime minister with a memento inspired by the Nanda Rajjat ​​Yatra, featuring a beautiful depiction of Mother Nanda’s palanquin and the local people leading the procession. (PTI)
