JAMMU, Apr 14: Claiming that after the record turnout in first phase election in J&K, the graph of BJP in Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency is going up with each passing day while there is shivering among the opposition parties, BJP State general secretary Kavinder Gupta said that Modi wave is doing very well in this border State also.
Announcing that BJP national president Rajnath Singh will be reaching Udhampur tomorrow, to address a massive public rally, Kavinder Gupta said that with the visit of party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and later by MP and Bollywood celebrity Vinod Khanna and record percentage of polling on April 10, the people in this Lok Sabha constituency are waiting for the polling day to repeat the same enthusiasm in favour of BJP candidate. “While our leaders on campaign in different areas are getting overwhelming response from people of all sections and it has made sleepless nights for Congress and NC leaders”.
Apprehending misuse of official machinery by the coalition candidate besides use of muscle and money power to influence the voters to rig polls, Gupta appealed the election authorities to be more alert and take all necessary steps to ensure that the Kathua-Udhampur-Doda seat elections are fair and free. He also took the coalition candidate Ghulam Nabi Azad to task for not uttering a single word about victims of minority community in Kishtwar violence on August, 9 last year and charged him of now projecting himself as Masiha of Bhaderwah and other areas.
Gupta was flanked by State spokesperson Dr. Nirmal Kamal and State Press Secretary Balbir Ram Rattan.
