Modi launches 'Start-UP' action plan; says ideas are capital of young entrepreneur

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the ‘Start-UP’ action plan, aimed at helping young entrepreneurs, calling upon them to come forward and begin their journey with ”the capital of their ideas”.

Addressing a function after launching the campaign, the Prime Minister said the young people should not be deterred by the resistance they face from the society, as it was only through fighting against the odds that success had been achieved by people.

”You have a turn around, when you take on the challenge,” he said. Mr Modi underlined that it was the ‘risk-taking’ capacity of the people, that takes them to their destination.

He said after talking to many of the young entrepreneurs today, he was wondering why being in the tea selling business, he never thought of starting a chain of hotels.

”But believe me, my destiny might have led me to do something else, but I have always been preoccupied with the idea of enabling crores of people of my country to do something,” he said.

The Prime Minister said a country that had 800 million youth under the age of 35 had sky as its limit to achieve anything under the Sun. (AGENCIES)
