Modi Govt is bridging the gap between rich and poor: Anurag Thakur

HAMIRPUR (HP), Oct 4: The Narendra Modi Government in India is bridging the gap between rich and poor and many pro-poor people steps have been taken to change their living style so that they can lead a peaceful and happy life.
Stating this during a tour of the Nadaun assembly constituency of the district on Sunday evening before departing for New Delhi via Dharamshala, Union Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs, and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur that the Central Government has taken roads, electricity, water, health during seven years to bridge the gap between rich and poor and ensure the upliftment of common people.
Special emphasis has been laid on education, housing, and other basic facilities. After opening the bank accounts of about 43 crore people of the country, the Narendra Modi government is putting the funds of various welfare schemes directly in the accounts of these people.
Earlier, he inaugurated three roads Chamarda-Rattian, Manpul-Bharmoti and Paniyali-Samjal upgraded at a cost of about Rs.6 crore under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna in Nadaun assembly constituency.
Addressing a public meeting in Bharmoti after the inauguration of these roads, Thakur said He said that the Central Government was providing an adequate budget for the all-around development of rural areas. Apart from MNREGA and the 15th Finance Commission, direct money is also being given to the Panchayats through other schemes.
He said that the Panchayati Raj institutions should make good use of this budget and put more and more shelves through Gram Sabhas.
He said that a record increase has been made in the budget of MNREGA. Panchayat representatives must register the people working under MNREGA with the Labor Welfare Board so that they can also take advantage of the various welfare schemes being run through the board.
Referring to the Clean India campaign being run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports this month, Anurag Singh Thakur urged the Panchayat representatives to make the cleanliness campaign a mass movement with public participation at the village level, so that Swachh Bharat can be achieved.
Earlier, the Union Minister inspected the construction works in the under-construction Dr Radhakrishnan Government Medical College complex at Jol Sappad and issued necessary guidelines to the officials.
During the visit, the officials of the medical college and the company which is building the new campus gave detailed information about the college to Anurag Singh Thakur.
The Union Minister said that after the establishment of AIIMS in Bilaspur, PGI Satellite Center at Una, and new medical colleges at Hamirpur, Chamba, and Nahan, the people of the state would not have to go out for their treatment.
On this occasion, he interacted with the workers and honored the workers who did commendable work.
District BJP President Baldev Sharma, HRTC Vice President Vijay Agnihotri, State Child Rights Protection Commission President Vandana Yogi, BJP officials, DC Debashweta Banik, SP Dr. Aakriti Sharma, Principal of Medical College Dr Suman Yadav, Medical College Hospital K MS Dr. Ramesh Chauhan, and other officers were also present.
