SRINAGAR, June 12: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir, Rajni Sethi, today praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ushering in a new era of development, peace, and national unity over the past 11 years, calling his leadership unmatched in India’s history.
Addressing a press conference in Kupwara, Sethi said, “No prime minister has ever focused on Kashmir and its people the way Modi Ji has since taking office in 2014. The development we have witnessed here is unprecedented.”
She was accompanied by BJP District President Kupwara Rafiq Shah, senior leader Javid Qureshi, and other local party members.
Sethi pointed to various initiatives taken in Jammu and Kashmir over the past decade to restore peace and ensure public participation in the democratic process. “High voter turnout and peaceful elections are proof of people’s faith in democracy. All of these events happened during PM Modi’s rule,” she said.
On India’s perception across the border, she said, “People in our neighboring country say that if Modi Ji were their leader, Pakistan would not be in such a bad state today.”
Drawing a contrast with past Congress governments, she alleged they were “marred by corruption and scandals,” while Modi’s tenure has remained “clean and free of allegations.”
