Modi, biggest victim of ‘political intolerance’: Naqvi

NEW DELHI, Apr 13:
Union Minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been the ?biggest victim of political intolerance.
About five years ago, some so-called intellectuals had written to the US and the European Union against Mr Modi. Some Congress leaders also went to Pakistan and sought help from Pakistan to remove Mr Modi, Mr Naqvi told reporters here.
He said in 2014, even after a huge mandate given by the people in favour of Mr Modi, some social activists had written to the President of India saying the Constitution was in danger.
However after some time, the ?award wapsi gang? had become active and alleged that there was an atmosphere of intolerance under the Modi Government, the Minister added.
He said despite these conspiracies, people’s faith in Mr Modi has been increasing day by day.
The Prime Minister, notwithstanding the negative propaganda, has been taking the country towards progress and prosperity through his hard work and performance only, Mr Naqvi maintained. (UNI)
