Modernized Post Offices at Vinaik Bazar, Nanak Nagar

JAMMU, June 13: As a part of ongoing process of modernization of Post Offices under “Project Arrow” in Jammu and Kashmir, two more modernized Post Offices at Vinaik Bazar and Nanak Nagar were inaugurated today by John Samuel, Chief Postmaster General, J&K.
With the provision of latest infrastructure and Post Shops, the offices have been modernized to revamp the ambiance of Post Offices and set their core operations right.
Speaking after the inauguration of Post Offices, John Samuel said that India Post has a vision of being a technology-enabled self-reliant market leader and is looking to move from a Government service provider to a customer-enabled service provider where the customer will be the focus of multifarious service delivery platforms.
The Chief PMG, added that the department is recruiting new staff members for providing better services and at the same time, training programs are organized to develop their mindset for customer orientation
“Both the Vinaik Bazar (near Jewel) and Nanak Nagar Post Offices are important offices offering variety of services to people and visiting these offices after modernization is really a pleasant experience,” Mr Samuel said. He said that J&K Postal Circle is ambitiously looking for computerization and modernization of Post Office functioning adding that Jammu & Kashmir Postal Circle is committed for “transformation” of Postal Network in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jagdeep Gupta, Director Postal Services, J&K, members of business community, prominent citizens of Vinaik Bazar and Nanak Nagar were present during the separate functions.
