UDHAMPUR, Jan 6: To aware and capture biometrics of residents of Udhampur district, a fully equipped mobile van was flagged off from the DC office, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (District Registrar NPR), Udhampur, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary , here today.
Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal who is District Nodal Officer, National Population Register flagged off the mobile van for Aadhar coverage in the district.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jamwal said that the move is aimed to create mass awareness among the various sections of the society regarding the importance of Aadhar cards and at the same time to capture bio metrics of left out population. Mr. Jamwal exhorted upon the team members to create mass awareness about the significance of Bio Metric Enrolment (BME) among the people and ensure cent percent Aadhar cards coverage in the district.
The Mobile van would cover the roadside areas where BME coverage is extremely poor/low in the district from January 6 to January 26, 2016 and is fully equipped with two Biometric Capturing Machines along with operators and team members for general awareness.
The mobile van would cover Tehsil Chenani from Jan 6 to Jan 10, 2016 while tehsil Ramnagar would be covered from Jan 11 to Jan15, 2016. Similarly, the mobile van for capturing BME for Aadhar Cards would remain in Ramnagar tehsil from Jan 16 to Jan 20, 2016. Moreover, Jan 21 to Jan 26, 2016 would be fixed for Tehsil Udhampur for mass awareness and BME coverage.
Among others, ACD Udhampur Joginder Singh, SDM Dudu Sandesh Sharma, AD Planning Uttam Singh, senior officers and staff of the Planning and RDD were also present on the occasion.
