MLA’s son killed in mishap

SRINAGAR, May 26: MLA Bashir Ahmad Dar’s son today died while his another son was injured in a road mishap at Pattan on Baramulla-Srinagar highway.
Advocate Basharat Bashir Dar along with his younger brother Fida Hussain were on way to Srinagar when their private car bearing registration number JK09A-0008 collided with a Tata 407 at Ranji area of Pattan this morning.
In the mishap, both the brothers were injured and immediately evacuated to hospital where Basharat, a lawyer by profession, was declared dead by the doctors at the sub-district hospital in Pattan.
A pall of galoom descended in Jagerpora-the native village of Basharat and its adjoining villages when the body of the deceased reached there.
Meanwhile, Governor NN Vohra has expressed grief over the sad demise of Basharat Bashir.
In a message of condolence, the Governor has expressed sympathy with Bashir Dar and his family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has also expressed grief over the tragic death of Basharat Bashir.
In his condolence message, Mufti Sayeed expressed solidarity with Bashir Ahmad Dar and other members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
