MLAs raise issues of public importance during Zero Hour

SRINAGAR, June 27: Various members raised the issues of public importance during Zero Hour in the Legislative Assembly today.
Minister of Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura responding to the issue raised by Mohammad Akbar Lone regarding shifting of Horticulture Development Office in Sonawari Constituency, said that Horticulture Development Office  would be shifted to new building soon for the convenience of farmers of the area.
Minister of Revenue Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari responding to the issue raised by Javed Hassan Baig with regard to early release of pending selection list of Class-IV employees of Baramulla district, said that  the delay in selection process was due to bifurcation of Baramulla into two districts, saying that the issue would be taken up with the Law Minister to expedite the selection process.
Minister of State for R&B, Sunil Sharma, responding to the issue jointly raised by Dalip Singh Parihar, G M Saroori and Devender Singh Rana with regard to dilapidated condition of roads in Doda, said that due to lack of hot mix plant in Doda, the pace of work on blacktopping of roads in the district has slowed down. He said that Government is contemplating to undertake manual blacktopping and other measures to macadamise the roads in Doda at the earliest.
Raja Manzoor Ahmed demanded Registrations of Pharmacies with the concerned department and clearing the backlog since 2011.
Pawan Kumar Gupta called for exploiting available  potential of Sericulture of Udhampur district.
M. Y. Tarigami drew the attention of Government towards  shortage of sugar  in Kulgam Constituency and demanded  early release of sugar and ration in the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
Rajeev Sharma demanded early restoration of power supply in his respective Constituency.
Vikar Rasool Wani demanded release of pending honorarium of daily wagers and SPOs before Eid.
Bashir Ahmad Dar, Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, Ajaz Ahmad Khan and Mohammed Amin Bhat drew the attention  of Government towards scarcity of potable drinking water in many areas of their respective constituencies and demanded addressing the issue at the earliest.
Sheikh Abdul Rashid demanded early supply of ration and sugar  in his Constituency particularly the people living in far-flung areas.
Complimenting the Government for issuing new ration cards to the consumers, Dr. Devender Kumar Manyal demanded free of cost ration cards to families belonging to BPL category.
Mian Altaf Ahmad  called for carrying out work on khulls to make available adequate irrigation water to the farmers  during the farming season.
Choudhary Mohammad Akram called for taking up protection bandhs to  avoid damages from flood  in Surankote Constituency.
Ch Qamar Hussain demanded uninterrupted power supply in Rajouri.
Raising the issue of rising number of crime incidents in Udhampur district, R S Pathania urged the Government for making the Police Department accountable to curb the rising trend of crime.
Mubarak Gul  demanded installation of street lights in the city and gas turbines  for uninterrupted power supply during the Holy month of Ramadan.
Abdul Majid Paddar demanded clearing of liabilities of contractors   engaged for flood restoration work.
Ali Mohammad Sagar demanded  regular supply of potable drinking water  in his constituency.
Gulzar Ahmad Wani  demanded macadamization of major roads in his constituency for the benefit of people.
Anjum Fazili raised the issue of  sub-standard anaesthetic drug being administered to patients in a hospital causing allergy and demanded investigation into the matter.
Shakti Raj Parihar called for expediting compensation process to land owners whose land was acquired for construction of roads under various schemes in his constituency.
Shamim Firdous demanded early release of  selection list of selected candidates  in Fire and Emergency Services Department in 2013.
Haji Abdul Rashid Dar demanded release of funds for completion of under execution Water Supply Schemes in his constituency.
Shah Mohammad Tantray demanded posting of Radiologist in his constituency, saying that CT Scan machine available in the hospital  and without Radiologist is lying idle.
Rajiv Jasrotia demanded  adequate compensation  to the affected farmers of both the Divisions whose crops damaged in  September 2014 floods.
Abdul Majid Larmi demanded filling up of vacant posts of medicos and para-medicos  and release of funds for the under construction health institutions  in the Constituency.
Asgar Ali Karbalaie  demanded early construction of roads viz Silmo -Lakha, Silmo- Grong, Samrals -Longma and Parkachik-Yogma under PMGSY.
Dina Nath Bhagat demanded establishment of  Degree College at Chenani  for the convenience of  students of the area who want to pursue higher education, besides adequate funds for up-gradation of infrastructure of other educational institutions in his constituency.
Altaf Ahmad Wani demanded uninterrupted power supply and funds for up-gradation of power infrastructure in his constituency.
Mohammad Khalil Bandh demanded implementation of DDB meeting decisions regarding formulating a Detailed Project Report of a Scheme for providing irrigation facilities to the Karewa land of Chandgam, Payer, Nowhard, Malpora, Nownagri, Palpora, Wasoora, Panzgam, Wudipora, Nowgam, Khandaypora, Renzipora, Badriwan, Huthkhull, Wakherwan and Banderpora areas.
Deldan Namgial urged the Government for strictly implementing labour laws in border areas. He also called rewarding local porters who have undertaken number of rescue operations and saved lives of armed forces in Siachen.
Syed Aga Ruhullah Mehdi  demanded waiving off bank loan of an expired person of his constituency.
Kamal Verma demanded compensation to farmers whose land was acquired at the border areas of his constituency.
Rajesh Gupta raised the issue of mismatch of figures in PDD and CAPD census with regard to number of families in the State. He urged the Government to tally the figures and bring fore a definite figure.
Ajaz Ahmad Mir demanded release of funds for completion of lift irrigation scheme in his constituency.
Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar demanded handing over of additional 300 kanal of land for Central University of Kashmir in Ganderbal. He also urged the Government  for strictly implementation of DDB decisions.
Sat Pal Sharma demanded that the State Government should honour the degrees awarded by Rashtriya Sansthan (Deemed University) which is a registered university and affiliated by UGC, Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Abdul Rahim Rather complimented the Government for dousing the forest fire recently occurred in his constituency. He also called for taking precautionary measures to avoid such fire incidents in future.
Usman Majid demanded social caste category to the  people  of villages residing on the banks of Wullar.
Kuldip Raj drew the attention of government towards dilapidated condition of roads in his constituency and demanded handing over of Chandwal- Sanjimore and Paharpur- Sambial roads to BRO for repair.
Ravinder Raina demanded free ration for six months  to the families whose crops damaged due to hailstorm of his constituency.
Yawar Ahmad Mir demanded early commissioning of water supply scheme in his constituency.
G M Saroori demanded enhancement in remuneration of Hand Receipt workers working in PHE Department.
