JAMMU, Dec 17: A PSO of Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) RS Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat has been suspended for opening fire in the air during marriage celebrations in Maralian area of Miran Sahib.
As per police sources, PSO Surinder Kumar, a resident of Gulabgarh Basti, RS Pura accompanying MLA RS Pura Dr Gagan Bhagat during marriage celebrations in Maralian area of Miran Sahib late last night fired two rounds in the air from a pistol, thereby creating panic in the area.
After hearing the gun shots, people informed the police.
The SSP Jammu Uttam Chand has ordered suspension of the PSO with immediate effect and initiated departmental inquiry against him.
