MLA urges CM to explore hidden tourist places of Doda

DODA, May 19: With motive to explore the tourism potential of his constituency, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Legislature Shakti Raj Parihar visited Dal-Draman area of district Doda. He also urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to explore hidden tourist places of Doda constituency.
MLA while addressing a public rally in Lal-Draman today said there is wonderful scope of adventure tourism, water sports, ecotourism and pilgrimage tourism in his constituency but the only thing that they are lacking is road connectivity to many tourist places.
“If these places develop properly, they will help us in improving overall economic development of whole Chenab region but due to no road connectivity, it remained unexplored, and ignored from decades”, he added.
MLA said that National Conference and Congress who remained in power for decades in State had done nothing for the common people.
The local people also raised the demand of construction of road up to Lal Draman so that the tourist will not suffer by reaching the spot on foot. MLA, Doda assured that Central and State Government is committed to provide road connectivity to all area which are disconnected besides ensuring uninterrupted power and regular water supply to the people in every corners of the State.
MLA instructed Public Work Department officials to prepare DPR of Lal-Draman road so that the area would be developed as tourist destination.
Since past ten days MLA Doda held several public meetings and darbars in his constituency where, MLA listen to the grievances of people and also resolved many of them on the spot.
