MLA reviews cluster model village project in Mendhar

POONCH, Sept 15: Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed Ahmed Rana today reviewed the plan devised by Government departments for a multi crore project for construction of cluster model village in Mendhar area which has recently been sanctioned by Government.
The meeting was held at sub divisional headquarters, Mendhar which was chaired by the MLA and officers from Education Department, PWD, PHE, PDD, Rural Development Department, Tourism, Industries etc also attended.
It was informed in the meeting by the officers of concerned departments that cluster model village will be constructed at an initial estimated cost of Rs 12 crore and will act as cluster of different Panchayats of Gursai area which include Gursai main, Phamra Nar, Gursai Harmutta, Gursai Sar, Gursai Mori, Gursai Taimi, Prat. All types of basic facilities of a model village will be provided in this cluster model village.
While interacting with officers on this occasion, MLA Mendhar told them that construction of this cluster model village will solve several basic issues of local population in these Panchayats.
“There should be no compromise in quality of work and we should give a valuable and durable asset to the people ” Rana told officers assuring them of every possible cooperation from his side.
He also asked them to ensure that said project is completed within the stipulated time period to prevent any kind of cost escalation.
