RAMBAN May 11: Member Legislative Assembly, Ramban Neelam Langeh who is also the chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) chaired its meeting at District Hospital (DH) here, today.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Ramban, Dr. M.A Bhat , Medical Superintendent, DH Ramban, Dr S.D Khan, along with Executive Engineer EM&RE Ramban, Habib Choudhary, Executive Engineer, Hydraulic Division Ramban, Himesh Manchanda, BDO Ramban Mumtaz Mirza Dy. CEO Ramban Balji Thaploo , Dr Shabir Ahmed, Dr. Vinod Bhat and other members of RKS attended the meeting.
MLA while deliberating on all the agenda found that most of its points are related to patient care except white washing of new hospital for which he asked the R&B Department to ensure the white washing and full completion of the construction work within time frame.
He instructed the concerned authorities to improve the functioning of Rogi Kalyan Samiti by coordinating with other departments to meet the requirements of Hospital and also deploy the best of the efforts in serving needy people.
While expressing his concern over the referral transport, he directed the concerned authorities to look in to the matter keenly as the patients have to suffer a lot. He also assured the members and public that all the genuine demands like shortage of pediatrician, anesthetist and construction staff quarters will be taken up with Health Minister and would strive his best to resolve them.
He sanctioned two water coolers from his CD fund for the hospital and instructed the Executive Engineer, Hydraulic to provide estimates for it. He directed JKPCC to install LED Bulbs in the newly constructed hospital and replace the CFLs with LEDs.
