MLA kick starts work on PMGSY road to Rathian

Panthers Party MLA, B S Mankotia kick-starting work on road in Udhampur on Sunday.

UDHAMPUR, May 12: National Panthers Party State president and MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia today kick started the construction work on the road from Peer Baba to Bhaley Rathian  in Udhampur constituency.
This road under PMGSY,  Phase-II is being constructed with the estimated cost of Rs 2.40 crore. The phase-I of the same road was constructed at a cost of Rs 2.25 crore  and the length of this road is about 4 kms. A population of over one thousand will be benefitted  with the construction of this road link.
While speaking on the occasion, the MLA asked the concerned Executive Engineer and AEE to complete the road in the given time frame.  He also asked the engineers not to compromise on the quality of  work to be executed.  The local Sarpanch, Dewan Singh extended gratitude to the MLA for getting this road sanctioned for the area. Naib Sarpanch Lakshmi Devi demanded  hand pumps  and adequate drinking water facility at Rathian.
The MLA   also announced Rs 3.75 crore for new water supply scheme  for village Rathian  and three hand pumps for this village.  Mr Mankotia also announced three lakh out of his CDF for construction of road from National Highway towards Roopnagar  and Rs one lakh for the construction of drain from DPS to the nearby mohalla and  water tank for Gujjar Mohalla.
Accompanied by the Executive Engineer PMGSY, the MLA also visited Battal and Loundna area and reviewed the progress of work on the road. He stressed for black topping of this road.
