MLA Kathua addresses Kasheer History Foundation Festival

JAMMU, May 17: Member Legislative Assembly Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan today attended the first Kasheer History Foundation Travelling Museum and Cultural Festival organized in Nehru Hotel on the Banks of Dal Lake.
The three Day event which started on 15th May culminated today. Ranjan Nehru, Director of the Foundation welcomed the Legislator and outlined the aims and objectives of the Foundation which focuses on preserving the rich art, culture and ancient history of Kashmir and showcasing it to inspire younger generation through the preservation and exhibition of artifacts ,manuscripts.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan in his brief address appreciated the efforts of the Foundation and outlined the need for taking collective steps with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and similar bodies so that composite culture of Jammu & Kashmir is preserved and showcased to the other parts of our country in particular and the world in general.
Many writers, poets, representatives of INTACH J&K Chapter and other cultural bodies participated in the event.
Later MLA called on Javid Ahmed Dar, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister and discussed implementation of RDD schemes in Kathua.
