JAMMU, June 3: To take the stock of issues, which are being faced by the students, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today paid a visit to the Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu.
During his visit, the MLA held an interactive session with students and faculty members.
The visit was aimed at understanding the ground realities, infrastructural challenges and academic concerns being faced by the institute, which has been playing a pivotal role in preserving and promoting the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
While interacting with the students, Arvind Gupta patiently heard the grievances of the students and faculty.
He expressed concern over the delay in addressing the critical issues and assured the stakeholders that he would take up the matter with the concerned departments at the highest level to ensure swift and result-oriented action.
Gupta emphasized the importance of music and fine arts in shaping a culturally vibrant and intellectually progressive society.
He encouraged the young artists to continue honing their skills with passion and confidence, assuring them of full support in terms of better facilities, exposure opportunities and Government-sponsored platforms for showcasing their talent.
Gupta also urged the students to become cultural ambassadors of Jammu and Kashmir and carry forward the legacy of traditional art forms.
Among those who accompanied the MLA included Sanjay Baru, Neelam Nargotra, Chaman Lal, Keshav Chopra, Anil Angral, Arun Dubey, Munish Gupta, Parveen Ghai and Sonali Gupta.
