UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: MLA Udhampur, Pawan Kumar Gupta today inaugurated district level cultural event “Kala Utsav” at Government Higher Secondary School, Boys here.
Over 300 students from 11 educational zones participated in the mega cultural event organized under Rashtriya Madyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA).
Students from different zones displayed their talent in four art forms which included folk singing, Tamil dance form, theatre and visual arts. The main theme of the ustav was ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’.
MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta was the chief guest and District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In his inaugural address, the MLA appreciated the organizers for holding such a colourful programme. He said that such programmes would help to preserve rich culture and provide a platform to nurture, promote and showcase the artistic talent of the students.
