POONCH, Dec 25: MLA Haveli Ajaz Ahmed Jan visited the remote and mountainous area of Panchayat Chakriban, Pleara and Gali Pindi by foot and inspected developmental works carried out in these remote border Panchayats.
The MLA also addressed series of public meetings on the way while people apprised him of their demands like electricity connection, laying of water reservoir tanks, extension counter of ration depot at Chakriban etc. People also demanded Anganwari Centers for un-covered areas.
Later, Jan laid the foundation stone of Poonch Development Authority Tourist Hut at Gali Pindi. He sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for purchase of L T Wire out of CDF.
The MLA was accompanied by BMO Mandi, BDO Mandi, AEE PWD, ZEO Mandi, Naib Tehsildar Mandi, Junior Employment Officer of Employment Department along with JEs of Rural Development Department, and PHE Department, Sarpanchs and Panchs of Chakriban, Pleara, Saral, Gali Pindi, Jandrolla and Shahpur.
