MLA gives Rs 5.50 lakh for laying water pipes

JAMMU, Nov 21: MLA Sat Sharma here today provided Rs. 5.50 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund for laying new water pipeline in Ward number-26.
A handout stated that this will improve regular water supply to approximately 100 households.
The MLA was accompanied by Corporator Ward no. 26, Hardeep Singh Mankotia, officials of PHE Department, locals, political and social activists of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA directed the PHE officials to start the works at the earliest so that the residents do not have to suffer because of shortage of water supply.
He also instructed them to identify the presence of possible spots where water supply pipes were susceptible to breakage so that wastage of clean water is curtailed.
The MLA along with the Corporator toured the adjoining areas in the Ward to take stock of completed works and urged the residents to keep their locality and surroundings clean and garbage free and promote the vision of Swachh Bharat.
