REASI, Aug 16: A youth, missing for the past few days, was today found dead in a Nallah near Sandoor Bridge in Khairlair, tehsil Pouni, while an octogenarian was found hanging in his house at Kadmal near Katra.
According to Police, dead body of Sunil Kumar (Makhnu), age around 25 years, son of Seva Dass, resident of Bharakh, tehsil Pouni, was recovered from a nallah near Sandoor Bridge. The deceased had been missing for the past few days and had apparently drowned in the nallah.
On being informed by some locals, Pouni Police shifted the body to PHC Pouni for the post-mortem. Police said that the body was decomposed while a case has been registered in this connection.
Meanwhile, an 87-year old man was found hanging under mysterious circumstances in his house in Kadmal area of tehsil Katra. The deceased was identified as Sundru, son of Divu, resident of Ward No. 6, Kadmal. Katra Police have initiated an investigation in this regard.
