POONCH, Sept 12: The police recovered the dead body of a 62-year-old man who was missing since yesterday.
A police spokesman said that some people noticed the body lying on the bank of nearby river and informed police this afternoon. The deceased was later identified as Khem Singh, son of Ram Chand, resident of Ward No. 3 ( Magnad) Poonch. He was a retired Government employee. Some injury marks were also visible on the body.
The police shifted the body to Poonch hospital for postmortem and later handed over to the family for last rites. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation.
