KATHUA, June 24: A missing man was found dead in river Ravi, here today.
As per reports, some passerby noticed a body floating in river Ravi and informed the police.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot, fished out the body from the river and shifted it to mortuary of the hospital for autopsy.
The deceased has been identified as Chattar singh (52), son of Lena Singh, a resident of Ward Number 10, Kathua.
Around five days back, the deceased had gone to attend funeral of his relative at Keerian Gandyal area of this district and since then he was missing.
Kathua Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
