Missing housewife found dead, parents allege murder by in-laws

UDHAMPUR, Jan 14: As a missing young housewife was today found dead in Tawi river at Binisangh near Jhulla Bridge, under the jurisdiction of Chenani Police Station, parents of the deceased alleged that she was murdered by her in-law.
According to police reports, Maqbeeran Begum (28), wife of Mohd Razak, resident of Nagulta, Tehsil Chenani was found dead in Tawi river under mysterious circumstances.
She was missing for the last one month and a complaint in this regard was lodged by her in-laws at Police Station Chenani on December 16.
On getting information about the missing woman found dead, a Police team, led by SHO Chenani Om Parkash, rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to Sub-District Hospital Chenani.
Cause of death could not be immediately ascertained while family members from parental side of the deceased alleged that she was killed by her in -laws. They appealed the Police authorities to properly investigate the case and punish the guilty.
Later, the dead body was sent to Udhampur District Hospital and a board of four doctors was constituted for the postmortem. After completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, body was handed over the family members and a case in this regard was registered under 174 CrPC for further investigation.
