JAMMU, Jan 14: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) met Director School Education Jammu Ravi Shankar Sharma and submitted him a memorandum highlighting issues and demands.
The delegation, led by Bhupinder Singh, UT President JKTA, raised the issue pertaining to Transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme and particularly for female teachers as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last more than 22 years.
The Association also demanded DPC of teachers to Masters, creation of Master grade posts in upper Primary Schools upgraded under erstwhile SSA Scheme, transition of Grade ll/lll Teachers, inclusion of 5 years services of ReT for seniority benefits, removal of pay disparity, earned leave for teachers who are deputed in winter camps, immediate transfer of Teachers of all cadres under much awaited annual transfer drive, Insitu promotion of RRETs of district Ramban withheld by CEO Ramban, Insitu promotion of Masters in some districts such as Ramban, release of MDM grant, conversion of Grade ll files of district Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar.
The Association also put forth the suggestions regarding NEP 2020, early childhood care education and inclusion of local languages and dialects.
The Director gave a patient hearing and assured the association that list of DPCs of teacher to Masters will be finalized within couple of days. The DSEJ also assured that the MDM grant will be released within days and other genuine demands will also be taken up.
The delegation comprise of Akhter Abass Naik, Joginder Digra, Javed Chouhan, Sadaket Malik, Irfan Bajran, Kuldeep Singh, Pawan Kumar, Hemait Wani, Charn Dass, Ishaq Khayal, Sudesh Kumar , Vikram Singh, Sajad Malik, Poonam Devi, Madhu Sambyal, Narinder Nagra, Afraz Ahmed , Sabash Lal, Tahir Tantray, Shamim Ahmed Wani and others.
