JAMMU, Aug 8: The glass panes of eight houses and the front screen of one private vehicle was broken by some miscreants in Naseeb Nagar, Lane 6 in Janipur area here late last night.
The incident created panic in the locality and people after hearing the noise of breaking of glass panes rushed out of their houses in panic. However the miscreants managed to escape.
The inhabitants of the locality said that glass panes of eight houses were broken while the front screen of one car was also broken. Terming it a handiwork of some miscreants they have demanded that police patrolling be intensified in the area.
The inhabitants of the area also have reported the matter to Police and filed a complaint with Janipur Police Station. A team of Janipur Police also rushed to the spot to investigate the matter. The Police has registered a case in this regard also but no arrest has been made so far.
Meanwhile, the residents of Gole Gujral Extension near Revenue Complex have also expressed concern over power failure in the area and demanded that the power supply be restored as the anti social elements under the cover of darkness can take any advantage of doing any mishap in the area.
