JAMMU, Jan 30: Mirchi 98.3 Jammu with the help of Directorate of Samagra Shiksha organized Kano Dekhi Film Festival for the visually impaired children at Platinum Movie Time SPA, Palm Island Mall, here today.
During the Festival, a special screening of the Amir Khan starrer movie Dangal, which was a special audio movie produced by Saksham Foundation, was shown to the students of The Blind School, Roop Nagar Jammu and The Indian Red Cross Society.
98.3 Mirchi RJs, Mirchi Shwetima, Mirchi Nishant and Mirchi Nikki who host their shows daily from the studio, struck a chord with the adorable kids and the sparks of love was visible on their faces. Kaano Dekhi Film Festival is a special initiative by the Mirchi Cares Group, conducted throughout India for kids who have restricted vision that stops them from enjoying movies. Through the special narration of movies, Mirchi 98.3 tries to make their lives merrier.
On the occasion, chief guest, Secretary School Education Department, Ajeet Kumar Sahu stressed upon organizing similar activities for CWSN and to create awareness about inclusive education among the society in general.
Director of Samagra Shiksha, Dr Arun Manhas was also present at the event along with State Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha inclusive education. Dr Ravinder Jangral also graced the occasion with his presence.
Jammu Sanskriti School also participated in the event as partners.
Speaking on the occasion, the Station Director of Radio Mirchi 98.3, J&K, Sumit Kakkar, “We are proud to be the execution partners for such initiative. Mirchi Cares has in past done a similar screening of Airlift, Sholay and now Dangal. We are proud to continue being a part of such initiatives.”
