Mir dares politicians to think above power-hungry politics

JAMMU, Oct 8: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Party Nationalist’s president and Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Hassan Mir dared politicians to change their mindset from power hungry politics to economic development of every individual citizen of the State.
While addressing the executive members of the party here, Mir asked the politicians to introspect how to make J&K self reliant. The way present politicians have been befooling the people on the name of autonomy, self rule or empowerment at grass root level has no concern with problems of people but weakened the democratic process of the State and created doubt in the minds of general masses, Mir added.
He appealed all stake holders to collectively stress and focus on developmental issues that bring justice, equality and dignified life to every individual of State instead of thinking only for achieving power.
The DPN president asked party workers to work hard in order to get involved every individual of the State in democratic process for strengthening the democratic institutions in the State that can bring change in realistic manner.
