Mir asks Mahila Cong workers to strengthen booth level cells

JAMMU, Dec 23: Pradesh Congress Committee, president GA Mir today asked the Pradesh Mahila Congress functionaries to strengthen booth and block level committees/ cells of the party in view of coming elections.
Convening a meeting of state executive of Pradesh Mahila Congress here today under the leadership of Indu Pawar, President Pradesh Mahila Congress and former MLA, Mir asked the party functionaries to extend their activities and strengthen the party at grass-root level.
All office bearers of the State and District presidents of Pradesh Mahila Congress attended the meeting in which decision was taken to set up booth level committees of the Mahila Congress workers.
Mir stressed for selection of booth level nominees who are best workers and have capabilities for converting votes in favour of Congress. Strengthening of booth level, District level and Assembly segment level nominees will bring better results for party, he added.
Senior party leader Raman Bhalla asked the woman activists to gear up their activities and strengthen the cadre across the region.
Addressing the meeting Pawar exhorted party workers to come forward to shoulder responsibility in the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in J&K. She asked all participants in the meeting to set up booth level committees of Mahila Congress to ensure victory of the party in coming polls. She further asked workers to establish committees at district level so that it would be further expanded at block and booth levels.
Highlighting role of booth level committees, she said that these committees have to mobilize voters during the campaign and have to crucial role in the polling to ensure maximum polling of party supporters.
Pawar further called upon Mahila Congress activists to reach out to the masses to expose failures of the BJP led NDA Govt at the Centre. She said that results of the assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh were beginning of the downfall of BJP across the country.
