Mir asks cadre to fight against discrimination, injustice

SRINAGAR, Mar 13: Describing the youth as future of the country, PCC chief GA Mir has urged upon the   youth to remain steadfast in service of the people and in strengthening the country and State, for the fact, country’s future lies with youth.
Addressing PYC convention here today,  Mir said  that youth have the responsibility of strengthening the nation and making it free from social evils.  The youth will have to play a pivotal role in strengthening the democratic institutions also and work with great enthusiasm to ensure overall development of the country and State.
Terming strong youth as a strong nation,  Mir appealed the youth to come forward and shoulder the responsibility of strengthening the nation and people to the best of their ability and remain committed to their cause of serving the nation and ensure that future of the country is better and prosperous.
He said youth need to utilize their skills and work with great vigour and vitality for upliftment of people especially poor and down trodden sections of the  State. Not only this, youth will have to share the responsibility of strengthening the democratic intuitions like Panchayats, Urban Local Bodies by involving themselves fully in these institutions with great wit and ensure development of the common people. He asked the youth to gear up for the forthcoming ULB and Panchayat elections. PCC chief also administered the oath to youth on the occasion.
IYC president Raja Amrinder Singh Brar, who was the chief guest on the occasion accused Narindra Modi Govt of its anti- farmer and anti- youth policies. He said Central Government is working against the aspirations of the youth and only takes care of the Corporate sector. Congress Party under the leadership of  Rahul Gandhi would continue to fight against the discrimination against farmers and youth of the country. He said Congress  won’t tolerate discrimination or injustice with anyone in the country and would continue to defeat anti -people and anti- youth policies of Modi Govt.
IYC  chief praised Kashmiri youth for their skills and said that youth in J&K are more energetic and can contribute a lot to the overall development of the country and State. He appealed the youth of Kashmir to work hard for better future of the State.
PYC president Pranav Shagotra said that  Youth Congress in J&K is a vibrant force. He praised Youth Congress leaders and workers for their dedication and hard work in strengthening the Party.
Former PCC pesident Peerzada Mohd Syed,  MLA Mohd Amin Bhat,  IYC secretary- Dr Uma Shanker Panday, senior leaders Naseer Ahmad Mir, Amir Rasool, Rajvir and others also  addressed the convention.
