Minorities resent non-inclusion of Sikh member in Cabinet

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 2: MJR-1947, movement for Justice for PoJK 1947 refugees welcomed the formation of Government in J&K but it resents that no minorities have been given representation in the cabinet, Sikhs in particular, who are in microscopic minority in the State.
In a press statement, a spokesman of the MJR said that  for the second time  this community has been ignored and now feels politically alienated. Both BJP & PDP were all out to assure Sikhs to give them proper justice but now they have let down the community. Even previous government headed by  Omar Abdullah was perhaps, the first political dispensation which ignored Sikhs as a result of which the party had to face the wrath of people.
Both BJP & PDP, who had made promises to make representative Govt by giving representation to all too have failed to do justice to Sikh & even other minorities. BJP of late  has given nomination to one Sikh from its cadre to contest council seat which we welcome. But while forming Govt representation of all section of society both parties miserably failed and farmed a Govt which is totally lopsided & unrepresentative.
Even the issue of settlement of PoJK 1947 refugees though touched in the common program but was not given due weightage. This case already stands recommended for final settlement by giving cash doles and reservations in educational intuition as well as in services but is being delayed without any reason.
Even joint Parliamentary committee has more strongly recommended our cause but it is an irony that BJP Govt at the Centre in unnecessarily delaying the issuance of final sanction of package.
