JAMMU, Sept 18: A minor girl was kidnapped and raped by a person in Khour area.
As per reports, a minor girl hailing from Kotemehra area was going to her grandmother (nanni) house at Chak Bhagwana, Pallanwala on September 15.
On her way, she was intercepted by a person identified as Jodh Ram, son of Jagtter Ram, resident of Kotemehra kidnapped her and took her to an isolated location, where he raped her for the whole night.
The girl managed to escape from the spot and after reaching home, narrated the ordeal to her family members, who lodged a complaint against the accused at Khour police station today.
The girl was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 68/15 under Section 363 and 376 RPC has been registered at police station Khour and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
