Minor kidnapped in ‘Bollywood Style’ rescued, accused arrested

JAMMU, Dec 16: Bagh-e-Bahu police rescued a minor girl, who was kidnapped in a ‘Bollywood Style’ and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a 16-year-old girl was kidnapped on December 5 by Bilal Ahmed, son of Parvez Ahmed, a resident of Housing Colony quarters, Janipur, when she was returning home alongwith her younger brother after paying obeisance at ‘Bawe Wali Mata’ Temple.
The accused in ‘Bollywood Style’ stopped the mini-bus in which the girl was travelling back to her home and forcefully took her. He asked the girl to come along with him failing which he will kill her parents.
The matter was reported to police station Bagh-e-Bahu and a case under FIR Number 94/15 under Section 363 RPC was registered in this regard and manhunt was launched to rescue the girl from the clutches of the kidnapper and arrest the accused.
To trace out the girl, the friends and relatives of the accused were questioned.
A police team headed by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu police station Inspector Vijay Choudhary under the supervision of SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand conducted raids in Katra, Mahore and also in Amritsar.
Finally, the girl was traced out from a hideout in Jammu and the accused, who tried to escape from the spot, was also nabbed by the police.
The girl was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
With the recovery of the minor girl and arrest of the accused, police saved the situation from deteriorating as various social and religious organizations raised hue and cry because the boy and girl were of different communities.
Further investigation into the case registered against the accused is going on.
