JAMMU, Jan 13: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a school guard in Greater Kailash area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gangyal police station.
As per police sources, 8-year-old girl hailing from Bihar, presently residing in Greater Kailash was playing outside her house, when a security guard of a Little Flower School, Greater Kailash namely Sansar Chand of Langer, Kunjwani, kidnapped her, took her to a secluded place and raped her.
The accused threatened the girl of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone.
The victim after reaching home narrated the incident to her family members, who lodged a complaint with police station Gangyal against the school guard.
On getting information, police team from Gangyal police station headed by SHO Jasbir Singh arrested the accused from a hideout.
The girl was restored to family members after conducting medical examination.
A case under Section 363 and 376 RPC has been registered against the accused at Gangyal police station and investigation started.
