UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: In a shocking incident, a minor girl was allegedly gang raped by a person who was having live-in relationship with the victim’s mother and son-in law of the first accused.
The incident came to light in a village under the jurisdiction of Rehambal Police Station, where a formal complaint in this regard was lodged by maternal uncle of the victim.
According to Police, the 16-year old girl was repeatedly raped by Mohan Lal (55) and his son-in-law Raj Kumar at their house where she was staying along with her mother. Mother of the girl was having live-in-relationship with the accused Mohan Lal, to whom the victim considered like father.
Acting on the complaint, Police got the victim’s medical check-up conducted and registered a case in this connection, However, both the accused are absconding.
Meanwhile, a minor girl of class 9th, who was allegedly kidnapped by a youth from village Dubi Gali two weeks ago, was recovered from Supply Morh in Udhampur.
The victim had gone missing on August 7 following which her parents had lodged a complaint with Police Station Pancheri alleging that their daughter was kidnapped by Ruble Singh of Gundha in tehsil Buddhal of Rajouri district.
