RAJOURI, May 7: A minor girl was killed and a woman injured when lightning during thunder storm and rain, hit them in remote area of Budhal in district Rajouri this afternoon.
Official sources said that incident took place at Dhok Gambir Ki Gali in Gabbar area of Budhal tehsil of Rajouri district. At about 3 pm today, a tragic incident occurred when a minor girl and a woman were struck by a beam of flash light from the sky.
The tragedy was happened to the family of Ghulam Qadir and Mohammad Aslam. Musarat Naz (11 yrs), daughter Mohammad Aslam, died on the spot after being struck by lightning while Peeri Begum (50), wife of Ghulam Qadir, was injured.
Both, Mohd Aslam and Ghulam Qadir are relatives and residents of Targain, Lehati. They had gone to Gambir Gali Dhok along with their cattle.
