JAMMU, Apr 27: A minor girl died after falling into river Kalgoni, under the jurisdiction of police station Gandoh.
A police spokesman said that, 11-year-old Iram Sabha, daughter of Abdul Latief of Kora Pai, Gandoh was crossing the river Kalgoni through bridge, when she accidentally fell into the river from the bridge.
On getting information, police team from Gandoh police station rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into service to recover the girl.
After hectic efforts, the body of the girl was recovered and handed over to her family members after conducting legal formalities.
