RAMBAN, Jan 14: A minor boy was crushed to death by a speedy tipper near Maitra, here today.
As per police sources, Liyakat Latief (17), son of Abdul Latief Choudhary of Maligam was killed by a rashly and negligently driven tipper near Maitra.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Acting swiftly, police arrested the accused driver, who has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf, son of Ghulab Din, a resident of Bathi, Maitra, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 12/18 under Section 279 and 304-A RPC has been has been registered at Ramban Police Station and further investigation into the case is going on.
