SRINAGAR, Jan 11: A minor from Kulgam district committed suicide while another attempted suicide in Kupwara district today.
In Kulgam district, a minor (name with held), 15, a resident of Katpora committed suicide by hanging himself at home in the jurisdiction of Police Station Yaripora.
After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites. A case was registered by Kulgam police and investigation was taken up.
Another minor (name with held) about 16 years old, a resident of Kupwara district attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substances in his home.
He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Handwara for treatment where from he was reffered to SMHS hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
