UDHAMPUR, June 10: In a tragic incident, a 14-year old boy drowned while taking bath in Dehari Nullah at Ramnagar, this evening.
Identity of the drowned boy was established as Ritik Sharma, son of Bittu Ram Sharma, resident of Chigli Dehari, Tehsil Ramnagar. He along with his friend was taking bath in the Nullah when he slipped into deep water and drowned.
The body was fished out by a Police team, led by SHO Ramnagar, Inspector Pushpinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Dr Bhishm Dubey who rushed to the spot immediately after getting information about the incident.
Later, Police shifted the body to mortuary in Sub District Hospital Ramnagar for further legal proceedings and postmortem. An inquest proceeding U/S 174 Crpc has been initiated in this regard at Police Station Ramnagar.
