JAMMU, Feb 6: To have feel of problems confronted by the people and ensure redressal of their grievances, National Conference Working President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has asked his party Ministers to hold public hearings at the respective party headquarters in the capital cities of Srinagar and Jammu.
In the first phase, the Ministers will meet the people at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhavan here and later at Nawa-i-Subh complex when Darbar moves to Srinagar.
This is yet another step to achieve the objective of the party to reach out to the people in a big way, after reorganizing and rejuvenating the organizational structure, both at the State and the provincial levels.
A communiqué issued here today by the Working President of the Party Omar Abdullah reads: “After appointing new Provincial Presidents of J&K National Conference party, I have decided that the Ministers should sit at the party headquarters both at Srinagar and Jammu to address the public issues. Accordingly, I have approved the roaster of the Ministers to be at the party headquarters at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu for the month of February, 2013. Similar roaster will be issued for the Ministers for the party headquarters at Nawa-i-Subh after the offices moves to Srinagar during summer”.
The Chief Minister has asked Minister for Planning and Labour & Employment, Ajay Sadhotra to hold public hearing at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu from 2 pm to 5 pm on Thursday, the February 7, 2013. Similarly, Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather will meet the people from 3.30 pm to 6 pm on Friday, the February 8, 2013 while Minister of State (Independent Charge) Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo will be available at the party headquarters from 2 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
According to the roaster, issued for the current month, Minister of State (IC) Science & Technology and Information Technology Feroz Ahmad Khan, will hold public hearing on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 3.30 pm to 6 pm; Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo on Monday, the February 18, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm; Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammed Sagar on Tuesday, the February 19, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm; Minister for Higher Education, Mohammed Akbar Lone on Wednesday the February 20, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm; Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution & Transport, Chowdhary Mohammed Ramzan on Thursday, the February 21, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm; Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah on Friday, the February 22, 2013 from 3.30 pm to 6 pm; Minister of State (IC) Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Nazir Ahmed Khan (Gurezi) on Saturday, the February 23, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm and Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology Mian Altaf Ahmed on Tuesday, the February 26, 2013 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
