JAMMU, May 24: The Central Government and the BJP plan to observe one year of Modi 3.0 Government by holding ‘Padyatras’ and rallies across the country including Jammu and Kashmir and convey to people the series of welfare schemes launched by the Government but focus will be on the huge success of Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Armed Forces to teach terrorists and their mentors sitting in Pakistan a lesson.

“The Caste Census which was approved by the Cabinet will also be one of the major focal point to be highlighted by the BJP leadership to mark one year of Modi 3.0 Government and 11 years in total of Modi as the Prime Minister and the BJP in the power,’’ party leaders told the Excelsior.
Since Operation Sindoor was mainly focused on Jammu and Kashmir with the Indian Armed Forces destroying nine major terror infrastructure and several military installations including airbases deep inside Pakistan and PoJK from May 7-10 in the wake of Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 civilians, 25 of them tourists, were killed, the party leaders said the Union Ministers and the BJP leaders are also expected to visit Jammu and Kashmir to highlight the decisive victory over Pakistan.
“Names of the Ministers and the BJP leaders who will tour Jammu and Kashmir on completion of one year of Modi Government will be finalized in first week of next month and conveyed to the party’s UT leadership,’’ the insiders said.
The ‘Padyatras’ and rallies by the Ministers and the senior BJP leaders will be main features of the one year celebrations, they said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to hold rallies to mark the occasion.
It may be mentioned here that inauguration of train services to Kashmir from Katra is also due and there is possibility that it can be done around the time Modi Government completes one year of its third term in office.
The Prime Minister was scheduled to inaugurate train services to the Valley from Katra on April 19 but the inauguration was deferred due to adverse weather predictions for that day. Then came Baisaran (Pahalgam) terror attack in which the terrorists killed 26 civilians including 25 tourists and a local followed by the Operation Sindoor. However, there is a possibility that the train can be launched to Kashmir in first half of June by the Prime Minister as fresh security review of Katra-Baramulla track undertaken in the aftermath of Pahalgam attack has also been completed and additional GRP personnel are being deployed for security.
The Prime Minister is expected to launch the ‘Gyan Bharatam Mission’ on June 9 – an initiative to digitize, conserve, and make accessible over one crore manuscripts scattered across the country.
Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister for the third time on June 9, 2024, following another decisive victory in the Lok Sabha elections. He has previously served as the Prime Minister from 2014 to 2019 and then from 2019 to 2024. He has also been the longest-serving Chief Minister of Gujarat, with his term spanning from October 2001 to May 2014.
