Mime Theatre workshop held

KATRA, June 25: The first ever three-day Mime Theatre workshop,  organized by Triple “A” Performing Arts Reasi,  concluded here today at Katra Auditorium.
About sixteen students from different school and colleges participated in this workshop. During three days, different mime techniques were created with imaginary objects, partners and powers.
K  K Sharma, Rtd CEO, was the chief guest in the valedictory function. He expressed his happiness over the organization of such workshops under the guidance of local theatre experts and Delhi based mime artist Santosh Kumar. He said that such types of workshops not only chisel the talent of students but also help in channelizing their energy towards positive direction along with their routine work.
Earlier, president TAPA, Sarver Mir spoke on the occasion and said that the organization would make all the efforts to nourish and support the local talent and engage young talent of the district Reasi in achieving proficiency in arts and performing arts. Particularly the young talent has the capacity and capability to match high standards but they require the right kind of platform, he added.
This followed a theme based group mime theatre performance,   entitled ‘Jal Hai To Kal Hai’.  Local eminent personality were also present on the occasion and witnessed the performance.
The programme was conducted by Anam Khan and Rakesh Puri, while the vote of thanks was presented by Karan Gupta, convener TAPA.
