Militant plan to detonate IEDs foiled, 2 OGWs arrested in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Apr 25: Militant plan to detonate Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) was foiled by security forces by arresting two Over Ground Workers (OGW) and recovering 4  IEDs.

Official sources said here this afternoon that State police, 19 Rashitrya Rifles (RR) and 40 batallion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a joint operation at village Watnard Kokernag in south Kashmir district of Anantnag following a tip off about a militant plan to cause  blasts.

They said during the operation two OGWs were arrested and four IEDs were recovered. Had these IEDs not recovered these would have caused much damage to life and property.

This is the third module busted in district Anantnag during  this month. (AGENCIES)
