SRINAGAR, Aug 1: Security forces last night arrested a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen in Central Kashmir district of Budgam.
The 50-RR of Army on specific inputs conducted checking at Qazipora Chadoora in district Budgam and apprehended one militant Showkat Ahmad Tantray resident of Waripora DH Pora Kulgam. He belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit and one pistol, one magazine and 6 live rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.
Security forces this morning busted a militant hideout in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Based on a credible input, security forces including Army’s 13-JAKLI and Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a militant hideout in Lashkoot forest area of Chandeji in Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
Arms and ammunition including 700 rounds of AK-47 were recovered from the busted hideout.
Police has registered a case and further investigations have been initiated.
