But these allegations were outright rejected by Relief Commissioner, R K Pandita saying that the allotments were made in a fair and transparent manner.

The demonstrators included men and women sought the immediate intervention of the Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister. They said that the genuine migrants who were waiting for a long time for the allotment of sets have been deliberately ignored.
The protestors warned to forcibly occupy the quarters at Jagti. They said that some influential political activists were considered and questioned that how 109 people were allotted quarters against the migrants putting up in police quarters when the list provided by the Estates Officer of the Police Department in 2008 had stated that 58 migrant families were putting up in police quarters only, alleged one of the protestors Ashok Pandita.
He demanded the list be quashed and fresh allotments be made in a transparent manner to genuine people who are totally dependent on relief and have no other source of income.
