JAMMU, Sept 20: Belicharan police arrested a migrant labourer alongwith large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Belicharana police post laid a naka and intercepted a person alongwith 50 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Omparkash Thakur, son of Baldev Thakur of Jharkhand, at present Belicharana. He works as migrant labourer here.
A case under FIR Number 205/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Satwari police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Belicharana SI Ranjeet Singh Rao made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Udhay Bhasker Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
