JAMMU, July 25: A protest candle march was carried out by the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant employees serving in Kashmir at Jagti Migrant township today in connection with deteriorated conditions of Kashmir valley  and the atrocities to which they were subjected during past so many days in different areas of Kashmir valley with the result these migrant employees had been left with no other alternative but to flee from Kashmir valley to save their lives.
The candle march was supported by the members of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front headed by Shadi Lal Pandita who have raised voice in support of these migrant employees.
Shadi Lal Pandita while addressing demanded immediate steps in adjusting these migrant employees in Jammu in different offices till the time permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community is ensured in safe and secure townships in Kashmir valley.
Pandita has also demanded filling of remaining 3800 posts under Prime Minister’s employment package immediately as this right has been extended to this community by the then Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh during his visit of Jammu in 2008.
Pandita has also demanded one time compensation for the losses by the community due to damages to their properties in Kashmir valley during past 27 years of migration as well as compensation for those youth who have crossed the over age limits.
He has also demanded on spot police recruitment rally at Jagti Migrant township for affording opportunity to the educated eligible youth for their absorption in Police Department.
