JAMMU, June 2: The dead body of a man of age about 45 years was recovered today in Jewel area falling under the limits of Nowabad police station.
According to a police spokesman, the dead body of a man appears to be a beggar was spotted this morning by some passersby at Jewel near St Peter School. He said that the dead body was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for identification and post mortem.
“Later, the deceased was identified as Ram Charan son of Daya Ram, resident of Ludhiana (Punjab)”, he said, adding, a case in this connection was registered at police station Nowabad, where police has started inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPc to ascertain the reason of death.
