SRINAGAR, Mar 22: Expressing deep sorrow over the devastation caused by a massive fire in Kadipora, Anantnag, National Conference Member of Parliament (Anantnag-Rajouri) Mian Altaf Ahmad has called for urgent relief measures and compensation for the affected families.
In a statement, Mian Altaf conveyed his anguish over the tragic incident, which has left several families homeless. “It is heartbreaking to learn that a devastating fire has gutted multiple residential houses in Kadipora, Anantnag. Many families have lost their homes and belongings in this unfortunate event,” he said.
He urged the administration to step in immediately with necessary relief, including temporary shelter, essential supplies, and financial assistance to help the victims rebuild their lives. He emphasized the need for prompt assessment of damages and adequate compensation to ensure that the affected families do not suffer prolonged hardships.
Mian Altaf also appealed to local authorities and social organizations to extend support and solidarity to those who have been left vulnerable due to the calamity.
